TECH SUPPORT · AT HOME AND REMOTELY

Tech problems?
Marianek will take care of it.

I set up devices, find out why things aren’t working, carry out minor repairs and show you how to use it all.

My name is Tomek. The name Marianek comes from a character in the Polish TV series Ranczo.

How can I help?

At home

  • I set up smartphones and computers, help transfer your data and get the apps you need up and running.
  • I troubleshoot Wi-Fi, printers and device connections.
  • I connect and set up TVs and smart home devices.
  • I carry out minor repairs — gluing, soldering, tightening and checking things over — once we’ve agreed exactly what needs doing.

For small businesses

  • I manage WordPress websites, hosting and business email.
  • I set up computers and electronic devices.
  • I carry out minor repairs within an agreed scope.
  • Equipment stopped working? I’ll take an initial look. If it needs a specialist, I can arrange the repair, drop it off, collect it and reconnect it.

One-off help or ongoing support — for your website or your business’s everyday technical needs.

I also help with

  • I help choose and set up microphones, cameras and equipment for podcasts, online calls, webinars and training sessions.
  • I help you choose equipment and services, whether it’s a laptop, a phone or an internet provider.
  • I teach people how to use devices and software. With experience in tutoring and training, I can explain complicated technical things in plain language — to younger people and older adults alike.

We can practise at your own pace and go over anything that needs more explanation. You can also arrange help for a parent or someone else close to you.

Recent work

A few examples of things clients have asked me to help with.

Website care

I managed a website and kept it up to date.

A broken smartphone at a business

The phone was used to play music. I checked the problem, handled the repair arrangements, then returned the phone and reconnected it once it was fixed.

Music in a waiting room

I set up a smartphone to play music from a royalty-free library.

Internet in a tricky location

I tested coverage and speeds from different providers, then recommended a provider and a plan.

Setting up a smartwatch

I configured the watch, paired it with a phone and showed its owner how to use it.

Choosing a laptop

I helped choose a laptop that matched its future owner’s needs.

Why Marianek?

If you’ve watched the Polish TV series Ranczo, you’ll remember Marianek. I wouldn’t claim to be a genius like him, and I don’t build aeroplanes, but I feel we have something in common.

Whenever something technical needed doing — equipping a radio station, producing a broadcast, assembling computers or fixing things — Marianek was the person to call. That’s why his name feels right for this particular mix of skills.

Pricing

Where possible, I quote for the job rather than charge for my time. We’ll agree on the price once we’ve had at least an initial conversation about what you need.

If I look into the problem but can’t help, you won’t pay for the diagnosis or my time. Only the travel fee applies, and we’ll agree on that before the visit.

We’ll also agree in advance on any extra work, purchases and associated costs.

Payment and invoices

One small but important detail: I don’t accept cash. You can pay by a BLIK transfer to my phone number or by a regular bank transfer.

Do I run a registered business and issue invoices?

Yes, I run a registered business and issue invoices. My Polish tax ID (NIP) is 6762354981.

What don’t I do?

I help with many technical matters, but I’m not a repair specialist for everything. I don’t undertake:

  • washing machine, fridge or cooker repairs;
  • renovations or kitchen cabinet installation;
  • plumbing;
  • electrical installation work;
  • electrical equipment repairs that require specific professional authorisations;
  • complex network configuration for large companies.

If something is beyond what I can do, I’ll tell you openly. For equipment that needs specialist repair, I can help arrange a repair service.
